I recently discovered that one of the best time trackers on my iPhone is an app I already had: Mono Task.
Here’s my setup for tracking work hours.
I assign all work-related Activities and QuickTasks the same color. Since every Activity has a duration, I can filter by that color and instantly see my total work time. There’s a total duration displayed just below the weekly calendar in your Timeline—when you filter, it updates to show only the filtered items.
The key is keeping your Timeline in sync with real life. With minimal effort, I maintain a Timeline that reflects how my day actually unfolds.
No timers to start and stop, no separate app to open. Just a record of what I did, when I did it.
